1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using rentably ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

To use rentably, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age
Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
Provide accurate and complete registration information
Complete identity verification by submitting a valid Emirates ID or passport
Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

3. User Verification

All users must undergo identity verification before creating listings or sending rental requests. Verification requires uploading a valid Emirates ID or passport, which will be manually reviewed by our admin team. We reserve the right to reject verification requests at our discretion and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies.

4. User Roles and Responsibilities

4.1 Lenders

As a lender, you agree to:

Provide accurate descriptions and images of rental items
Set fair and transparent pricing for different rental durations
Ensure items are in safe, working condition before rental
Respond to rental requests in a timely manner
Coordinate pickup and return logistics with borrowers
Inspect items upon return and report any damage promptly

4.2 Borrowers

As a borrower, you agree to:

Use rented items responsibly and as intended
Return items in the same condition as received
Complete the split payment process (50% on pickup, 50% on return)
Report any issues or damage immediately
Coordinate pickup and return times with lenders
Compensate lenders for any damage or loss of rented items

5. Listings and Rental Transactions

Lenders may create listings with the following requirements:

Accurate product titles and descriptions
Clear images and optional videos (max 10MB each)
Pricing tiers for different rental durations in AED
Pickup location with emirate and map coordinates
Compliance with UAE laws and regulations

We reserve the right to remove listings that violate these Terms or applicable laws.

6. Payment Terms

All rental transactions follow a split payment structure:

50% of the rental fee is paid at pickup
50% of the rental fee is paid upon return
Payments are processed securely through our platform
Platform fees may apply to transactions
Refund policies are determined on a case-by-case basis

7. Prohibited Activities

Users are prohibited from:

Listing illegal, stolen, or counterfeit items
Providing false or misleading information
Engaging in fraudulent transactions
Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
Attempting to bypass platform fees or payments
Using the platform for any unlawful purpose
Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
Scraping or collecting user data without permission

8. Liability and Disclaimers

rentably acts as a marketplace platform connecting lenders and borrowers. We do not:

Own, control, or inspect listed items
Guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items
Mediate disputes between users (though we may provide assistance)
Assume liability for damage, loss, or injury arising from rentals

Users engage in rental transactions at their own risk. We recommend users verify items and arrange appropriate insurance when necessary.

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between users, we encourage direct communication to resolve issues. Users may contact our support team for assistance. For disputes that cannot be resolved through our platform, users agree to pursue resolution through arbitration or the appropriate courts in the United Arab Emirates.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property on the Platform remain the property of rentably or its licensors. Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant rentably a license to use, display, and distribute such content for platform operations.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate user accounts at any time for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or other reasons at our discretion. Users may also close their accounts at any time, subject to fulfillment of ongoing rental obligations.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
